Virginia Democrats Prefile SB 64 – Could Outlaw Firearms Training

Published in Conservative Firing Line

Democrats are having a free-for-all in Virginia after their big win this fall. Another ridiculous bill has been prefiled to be printed on January 8, 2020. SB 64 outlaws firearms training, and could impact other group sports such as Krav Maga, Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense training, etc. The bill is designed to prohibit paramilitary activity (read that “citizen militias”). But as it stands, it would do a lot more. And turn law abiding Virginians into felons with a snap of the handcuffs.

ISRA Thursday Bulletin - June 13, 2019

by Richard Pearson

We have learned that the Kathleen Willis FOID Card Bill (SB1966) is scheduled to be voted on in one of the upcoming Veto Sessions. The first Veto Session is scheduled for October 28, 29, and 30.  The second Veto Session is scheduled for November 12, 13 and 14.  There is enough time before either session for things to change, but there is very little time to get ready should the vote come in one of these sessions.   I encourage all firearm owners to attend every possible townhall meeting you possibly can this summer, fall and winter.  The same is true for every gun club meeting, gun show and wherever gun owners gather.  The fact is the fight is on and the antigunners are out for blood. In a Town Hall meeting held on Tuesday Senator Julie Morrison (D-Deerfield) was even willing to use the word “confiscation”. See Video

ISRA Thursday Bulletin - May 30, 2019

The situation leading up to and including SB1966 and its various amendments that now become the bill has been deceitful and slimy to say the least.  SB1966 is an out and out attack on the Second Amendment and the private ownership of firearms. The excuse for filing SB1966 was the shooting that occurred in Aurora earlier this year.  Of course, in the end, SB1966 does nothing about that.

This weekend is a very significant one in the history of our country. On April 18, 1775, Paul Revere made his famous midnight ride, which has forever been memorialized by Longfellow.
