We at the ISRA take our responsibility very seriously when it comes to the health and well‑being of our members, staff and our community. As a result, all leagues, classes and organized activities are canceled, at this time, until May 1, 2020.
All ranges are open to members.
Thank you for membership, understanding and cooperation.

Well here we are in the middle of a pandemic. The restaurants are closed although you can get carry outs, the bars are closed, schools are out and on and on it goes. What a great time to catch up on your reading. If I remember correctly, you have some firearms that need to be cleaned. Now is the time to complete that little chore. How about going to the range and getting in some practice. Indoor ranges are required to have 100 cubic feet of fresh air per firing point and outdoor ranges have infinite amounts of fresh air per firing point. Either way, a Range is a pretty safe place to be during a pandemic.

Legislative Session has been cancelled for next week (March 16-20, 2020). March 24th, 2020, is the next time the General Assembly will be in session, as far as we know. Right now, we are tracking 259 gun bills. There are also an untold number of shell bills we are watching that could become reality in a very short period of time, even as little as a couple of hours. We will be very busy the rest of the session.

Due to the coronavirus threat, the Secretary of State’s office has cancelled all events at the Illinois State Capitol including Illinois Gun Owner Lobby Day (IGOLD) which was to be held on April 1, 2020. We have tentatively rescheduled IGOLD for Wednesday, May 13th, 2020. We regret any inconvenience caused by this cancellation. We will keep you updated. The IGOLD raffle drawing will still take place on April 14th.
