it’s your chance to actually talk to your legislator and let him or her know how
you feel about gun control in Illinois! We are making it so simple for you!
There are buses available to take you to Springfield and back. You don’t even
have to drive!
How many times have you said, “Man if I could only tell that person in
Springfield how dumb this legislation is!” All you have to do is reserve a seat
and show up where the bus is departing from. Other gun owners will join you for
the ride to the Capitol, where you can actually tell him. If it means using a
vacation day isn’t it worth it? Other groups lobby for what they want. Why do
gun owners not care enough to spend one day fighting for their rights?
Get on the bus and tell a few jokes, feel the camaraderie, and feel good about
really doing something. What else is so important you can’t spare one day? If it
was a shooting match or a golf date you would make it, so isn’t your right to
self-defense more important?
People always ask me "What is the ISRA doing for us?" Well here is what they are
doing right now for you. They are working with the other organizations in IGOLD
and sponsoring a bus ride at a very nominal cost for you to get down to
Springfield and actually talk to the person who will vote on gun legislation.
Now are you going to ignore that helping hand and just blow it off and go to
work, or are you going to take advantage of what the ISRA is currently doing for
you!!
I’m not going to preach to the choir anymore . We couldn’t make it any easier
for you. It’s your move!
